Either Dodd and Frank are experts in these fields which is as Ricki Tigert Helfer, ex-FDIC head says. Or, they were incompetent – it isn’t both. If they were indeed experts, then they are accountable for this economic disaster and should be taken out back and whupped within an inch of their lives.
Or, they were incompetent which means they sure couldn’t have a good excuse for sitting where they are sitting warming those chairs and holding the reins of power they have on these committees.
Y’all need to decide that when any member or ex-member of our government regulating agencies that chose not to enforce or impose regulations when it mattered – opens their “expertise” to you – that you’ll use some of your own birthright to common sense about it. Please do.
