On 22, 23 & 24 November 2010, H&M brought their flagship store in Amsterdam to live with a 3D projection mapping on the historic building. For over 3 minutes, guests and a gathered crowd enjoyed a surreal fairytale of light and magical effects. A red ribbon, wrapped around the building, untangles and transformed the building into a colorful dollhouse where nothing is what it seems.

Madrid Christmas Light Show by Samsung

On Sunday, December 18th, Samsung provided the citizens of Madrid with a spectacular light show (or projective 4D video-mapping to be more precise) at the Plaza de Cibeles. Thousands gathered to watch the stunning display of technology as the Cibeles Palace, which also serves as Madrid City Hall, was transformed into a dazzling Christmas toy factory.

The display was entitled “Las Tres Estrallas de la Navidad” or “The 3 Stars of Christmas”, and to the delight of the crowd gathered for the show, the 4D projection imposed various fantastic images onto the surface of the palace. You can see all the cell phones lit up in the image above, as the crowd raced to capture the moment. Ooos and ahhs could be heard from children as well as adults. The origin of the name of the show refers to a translation of the Korean word “Samsung,” meaning “Three Stars.”
