I don’t think about being an American. I find my feet on the ends of my legs and they stand in America. That is all that matters.

I am alive. I am here. And, I was born into a place and a world that was here long before me and will be long after I’m gone.

I’m no more than a moment’s breath in her majesty – in the extraordinary majesty of the Universe and in the extraordinary majesty of our time. None of us are like a flickering light bulb, gone before ever awakening to life.

The moment we are here – it is ours to do.
