Each day, I create. Today, paintings were designed, aceo ocean cards (2.5″ x 3.5″ trading card sized art) were hand-painted, two recipes were created for sauces and one recipe was created for a chicken entree. Writings were made for my website content, including things about art, tips and tricks for artists and art collectors, plans and designs were made toward bigger projects and the tax forms were found and printed.
I made a list of the types of things I am creating currently to go in some promotional brochures and started the design for my newsletter. It may seem like a lot but really it is easier to do the same types of things at the same time. The information being constructed for the website makes doing a newsletter at the same time sensible. There were recipes created because it seemed a good way to have something different for lunch.
When my studio session ended this afternoon, there were eight new aceo / trading cards of the ocean in views I had not considered until today. I really like them. The two larger paintings only have a few more areas completed because of my work today. They seem to take so long at times. The things I’ve sold on Ebay over the last couple days are going to be shipped early in the week. I had to get a phone number to ship anything into France and another aceo ocean card was bought by a new collector of my work. That’s way cool.
Yes, it really has been a paperwork day. I thought if I get a running start on it, then by April or hopefully, March – I’ll have it organized so the taxes can get done and other important stuff. Doesn’t that sound exciting – yesterday I worked all day to fix the computer and today, it was paperwork.
I did create a new recipe today which was really good and way wonderful as a something else to do. It wasn’t a painting day, but music is getting done. This painting that I listed in the post tonight is one of my favorites. It reminds me of the songs I worked on this morning and inspires some idea of new songs and artwork to do tomorrow.
That means – I think painting did happen today, now that I think about it. That seems so long ago now. There was an oceanscape I did this morning that is laying there drying on the board. The little trading card sized paintings aren’t always done quickly but today it seemed right at one point and I stopped there.
If it isn’t quite right, I’ll work on it some tomorrow. I like the energy that today’s seascape has the way it is painted now – may as well let it alone and create some new ones . . .
I have been lost in my computer today. First, there was painting and creating music. This was good. And, then – I crawled into my computer to fix it and if I’ve come back out again – it doesn’t seem like it. The painting posted here is one of two that was completed today.
It may not be completed – after stylizing the open mosaic feel of her, now I’m thinking – maybe not. I like the rainy, ocean look of her, though. It has a nice strangeness to it.
As soon as this last bit of computering stuff is done – I’m going to z-into something telly – like junk tv maximus. That is really what I need – a little Nintendo, a little junk telly and maybe, everything I’ve listed on ebay will be sold by tomorrow. I doubt it will but I may as well enjoy dreaming it is so . . .
