Cricket Diane Quote of the Day -

“Living Will & Testament as taught to me – means (”Get up off your dead ass and go do something to do some good unless you’re in the ground already – There is no excuse – and if your death is permanent and you didn’t let us know before this —   WHOO BUDDY! you’re in some stuff now!”). When did the meaning get changed?”

Line In The Sand -

What I Do That Works -

2008, Cricket Diane C “Sparky” Phillips

So when somebody draws a line in the sand or better yet, takes a stick 18″ – 26″ long and doves a line in the sand, what do you do? [doves a line . . .  -  means, “you can go up to your side of this line and still keep the peace between us. (It is arbitrary in where the line is located & rarely negotiated.)]

–>  (So) What do you do? I know what I do that works, I sit down and start playing with the line from my side in the sand, cross-legged Indian-style.  — “I sit on my butt & start (zigging) zig-zqzagging the line without changing in position nor location (as if that is the only thing that interests me).” Then –>

“I ask what they got over on that side of the line where they are,  that I want. How’s things look over there on your side – got any good stuff around you to look at? What does it look like? What parts do you like? What kind of stuff do y’all eat – is it that much different than what I like? Do y’all have games you play – your own songs like we do? and then I ask them if they play chess? And do they like it or in a fit of (oh, well) what do you play? cards, or cricket, soccer, polo or you like to watch horse races, cars? You got that over there don’t you?”

Etc., etc., etc. and on it goes – I never cross that line with hands, foot, toes or getsure and if they are very nervous and uncomfortable when I’m playing in the sand with my fingers (I watch their feet,) then I just do back up (1) one foot to look up at them as I’m propping back on one arm  — (like are you gonna talk to me or what – you got something  – anything  better to do?) and on and on it goes.”

—>  after awhile either the person is my friend or isn’t. I never bother to cross the line neither to antagonize them into making a move to cross the line aggressively (if they are annoyed as shit already & can’t be resolved between us at any point to the x – moment I have available ) then a.) I say thankyou for your patience & kindness & I go away   (saying, “Later, then” as I go  ) and I leave, tell no one and sometime later approach again.

or,  (b). I wouldn’t get in a bath with all hot or all cold water if I could help it  –  therefore   (A) yes,  (B) no, —–> are not the only choices  –> so (b) in this case is to construct, create, work with, modify all of what we both want into an “all – win” solution that serves ALL and ANY & EACH & EVERY thing that we both want or we’re not doing it, that is options  (C), (D), (E), (F),  —> through Infinity somewhere.

or –> if none of the above, then (c.) which is to disarm, the stinker; destroy all evidence of the line with my foot and then explain in terms they can understand. At which point  – I just generally take whatever I want, whatever I cam for and then graciously say thankyou as I help them back up on their feet.

[and dust them off and ask if they are hurt anywhere. If they are - I do what I can to fix it (more times than not,) before I leave.]

See y’all later and I’m usually gone by the time the last of it is trailing off in the distance ’cause I got better things to do than this.

So, if y’all are having the line in the sand thing going on, you can follow these as I have and then it works. Otherwise, just go ahead and take their marbles cause they aren’t using them anyway.

To challenge an opponent such as we are – all of us – with hidden strengths and resources is so ridiculous that they obviously aren’t using their marbles and don’t know what to do with them anyway. Just take them marbles and go home. There are better things to do.

Thanx Y’all -

On The CO2 Air Chemistry Problems and Business – We Need New Solutions Now – Businesses Join Us Please – Cricket Diane C Phillips – 2008

The greatest shame of all about the last post that I made which was a copy of information that went to some press folks that seemed to believe the whole global warming was an issue of a little bit of extra CO2 in the air, is that the crimping of businesses to make them adhere to some standard days as a solution is over – its gone.

There was a chance some thirty and plus years ago when I was in high school, that the simple addition of filtering systems and individual changes by businesses could fix the problems with our air quality by about now. But we didn’t do that and now that won’t work.

Many think that when the words “global warming” are spoken that we mean to “crack down” on business. Can’t help anymore – its too late. The many multitudes of exotic chemicals now in our air, ground, water and on every surface everywhere will not be fixed by any industry changes whatsoever. I hate to tell y’all but its too late.

What this means is this – whenever scientists are meeting one of the big conversations is a dialogue started about ten years ago – or maybe fifteen – That dialogue isn’t suggesting that businesses be heavily regulated nor forced into compliance with 30+ year old guidelines. Its over – its too late – it is way past that for quite awhile now. There is very valid discussions and research that has been being done on how to fix it or do something with it as it exists before we have no planet to call home. That is necessary now and there may be little chance of anything else working.

This also means, that the knowledge of chemistry, fusion, fission, quantum mechanics and atmospheric sciences that has been broken through in some areas only in the silent labs inside businesses and kept secret by desire to compete, must be combined somewhere, somehow into the academic arena and vice versa. It is another area where we are going to need everybody to know what everybody knows and cross over all barriers to do it. We can’t change our cars fast enough to fix it even if all cars were retrofitted next year which some of us are trying to do – create retrofit packages that are non-combustion systems for cars, trucks, ships, trains and other combustion motored systems. It still isn’t enough, even if we can do that and make it affordable for each and every car owner everywhere.

The basic problem is that the air polluted as it is – as exotic and bizarre as the chemistry in it has to be transmuted chemically by processes of physics into a usable fuel source that repairs it as we go. It is do-able but is only one part of a multi-strata process for cleaning the mess and straightening it out.

We will need the oil companies because their eco-tech is strangely most targeted because it is profit driven. There are knowledge basics in this industry which can feed new uses of petroleum using the tiniest strands of nearly nothing atomically and making it into useful fuel sources, powerful product categories and all kinds of switching and energy solutions for electrical substitution apps.

This isn’t talk of a day far from today. It is on the shelves today in America and around the world. It is true in nearly every industry – it is not the change in the way their processes are being done (for the most part, excepting a couple specific cases really) that will make a difference but rather an interaction, consolidating of goals with our country and our scientists as well as with all the other participants in our world that has to happen. They and we and everyone who is found to have their feet on this planet will be needed to make this right.

Every idea counts – it could be the one – or ones that work for wonderful changes to take place. Every person’s base of knowledge and creativity will be required. Every one – each and every single one from the smallest to the oldest and in every country. Because we don’t know what we don’t know – even the most innocent, the most incapacitated may have the unique perspective that can point out what we cannot see. It will give us a place to look, a new way to stand and consider what open ideas and options that brings. It will take every business and corporation of every size and we all will need to become a whole lot more literate on a lots of things including using the brains that are keeping our ears from being pasted together like Mickey Ears on a D-Vacation.

on air – it isn’t a little co2 problem – cricket diane c phillips – 2008

Folks – ya’ll something else – rash a trash in the dash – that is too funny – way good or was that somebody else?

Just kidding – this is because it isn’t just a little carbon dioxide problem in the air that is creating a different climate among other things – the ocean can’t convert the core materials from the air that normally it would cause it is not just a little something extra or more of a little anything . . .

I stumbled on this the other day – they’ve been lying to us by what is that Catholic sin – OMISSION – that is what the Vatica largus maximus calls it -

I’m sure there’s some other sins in it too but that is not my job – I try to tithe in a way I can afford to all religions on the planet where I find my feet wandering. – this means ya’ll, us and ours, on the planet Earth where we are all going to have less opportunities to enjoy life outside if this keeps up for much longer.

So, therefore my job is to bo where I am -

(That isn’t “bowling” ya’ll – )

But to set ya’ll on it – you may not want to share this far and wide but the other day on the sites where I was researching I found a list of exotic chemicals and toxins that the EPA and International Federation of Scientists and the UN Climate – “Convention of Science and Leadership” (not the correct name of it, forgive me please) have substantiated and verified in the air – everywhere – that present very real health concerns even in small quantities -

They are not in small quantities and by lay of the land small and large pockets of very high concentrations appear topologically in all sorts of places – like sitting on I-285 about sunset or around 8:30 a.m. and off in the worlds of homes right next to it along the highway corridors, among others.

Anyway – I printed out all of it – I’m sending the links – ya’ll look at it and see what you think. . .

My bookmarks deserted me twice this year – including yesterday when entire file folders left my bookmarks list on my browser and earlier this year – so I don’t have the link but the name of the list is -

EPA United States – THE MASTER LIST OF COMPOUNDS EMITTED BY MOBILE SOURCES – 2006
EPA 420-B-06-002

This shows the exotic chemical compounds in the air, ground, every surface and in the gasoline / combustion processes. They are bizarre and go on for pages.

There is also a document called:

The News from Kudzu Holler – cause I can – Cricket Diane C Phillips – 2008

THE NEWS FROM KUDZU HOLLER -

No its not 2008 – to hear it told – its I don’t know when. That is what I would like everyone to know – that lying is great for beer parties, poker games and other tall tales of chance and imagination. That is where it belongs and what it is great for doing – everything else, anything else, all else and any other occasion – that ain’t it and it ain’t gittin it.

Now – honestly I wasn’t raised around here and all my family from the South calls me a Yankee – which I am but there is County Country Southern Blood running in my heart and its truth o meter – called a BULLOMETER down around me – says Ben Bernanke needs to be sitting in jail for reverence to the code of palpable lying  – tale telling and outright fibbing. He said they knew three months ago and last year they knew bidding problems were occurring behind the scenes on leverages to Bear Stearns – he didn’t say it that way – but it still is what he said.

Then he turned right around – under oath because that is what it is when any American citizen sits there in front of Congress and said they didn’t know but 24 hours before Bear Stearns was going to file collapse – help us bankruptcy court papers. That is a lie – I’m not a professional – I hold no degrees – I have $4.91 in my bank account and most of the time am an ignorant fool much to my chagrin – but even I knew ahead of this it was going to happen because the International Monetary Committees about May of last year (and before) had already said so and I trust they know more about it than I do.

Yes, I read it – it wasn’t hard to find – it was last year and prior to that when I read it so the Federal Reserve DAMN SURE knew it. And lying to Congress isn’t an inconvenience or a little no-no. It is against the law. Who does he think he is? We paid him – right. They don’t pay me. . .

and – even I know to tell the truth to Congress or go to jail and work there paying off the fines for my insolence and poor choices after taking an oath. What?

Yes – a little on the peevey-geevey side from watching two days of C/Span – that’ll rock your world alright.

Love ya’ll anyway – but durn – I’d druther make moonshine than this. And that’s all from Kudzu Cricket’s Asparkin” Holler

“on suicide” – We gotta help stop this as a solution to foreclosure and bankruptcy and failure – Please use this – it works – Cricket Diane

“on suicide”

2008 Cricket Diane C “Sparky” Phillips

I know we’ve all heard the stories, of the deputies coming to the house as a result of these foreclosures being served, hearing shots ring out from the home to find the homeowner gone forever, gun still in hand.

What could I say that would save even one life from this course of action? But, that if I knew, would it ever be heard in time to make a difference?

If I were there in person which I have been on some occasions like this, I would say:

1.  “Hey, don’t waste those expensive bullets and make a durn mess I’ve gotta clean up when you’re done.”

2.  “You do know there is no taxi service back, if you change your mind and don’t like it being dead?”

3.  “You haven’t got one problem that money won’t solve. You’re always making money at stuff, what is the problem?”

4.  “Yes, you’re right. It does suck, it isn’t fair, it isn’t right and it damn sure must be serious if you would give up the only thing you actually do own – you know, we can’t make another one like you, right?”

5.  “You do know – dead might be like on that movie Beetlejuice, you know – quit laughing – that ain’t funny.”

And that’s usually about all it takes – then we can “talk” and I can listen.

I do listen as if there is not one other thing in the entire Universe more important than this – no matter what it is & no matter how long it takes – I do not use foolish repeating crap from what is said to get them to talk more. That is bull and the person I’m with is more valuable than that.

What this person was willing to give away the only thing precious in the Universe over, I want to know. They must be right – it must be that serious because they have already stated that level and degree of seriousness about it by their actions.

All I need to know is why they believe it to be so – not to argue, though sometimes I do, not to debate, not to win, not even to save their ass. I want to know because they may be right and theirs is a menu of options that only includes one.

I do approach it differently cause first, I’m not going to fix “their” emotional well-being, that is not my job – that is their own job.

Second, if this is the first time they’ve had something taken away they worked for, been disappointed or rejects or failed or whatever, I want to know cause that is a thing that threw all of us at least a time or two.

Third, I do know that options of responses to shit happening and this person being right about it are multiple, not singular. By the time anyone has only one option left on the menu (having to do with severely disabling permanent, long-term solutions to short term problems) [like suicide] –> that person needs a new menu & they are limitless.

See There Really Is A Bigger – Bigger Picture and Perspective – Cricket Diane C Phillips

Please reconsider your precious place in this great Universe and your
special abilities to bring healing, openness and respect for the extraordinary
efforts of China, her leadership and especially her people. It is hard to know
the act of conscience that must be made when our knowledge of other events are
distracting our course. Did we not say this would make a historically
significant difference in our world's and her leaders' willingness to cooperate
with one another? Is it no longer worthy of this effort after we've persuaded
China to be part of our worlds and allow us to participate in hers?

There are much greater issues at stake than a moment's stand against a
brutality in Tibet that has occurred (Nepal et al.) At the cost of boycotting
the Olympiad and the opening ceremonies, no change can be made in the manner our
friends in China choose to handle their difficulties. We can only hope to make
that difference by standing with them in their time of pride and willingness to take their place beside us and us beside them.

To Shun The Chinese People and Their Efforts - Is Wrong.

To Degrade The Proceedings Of The Opening Ceremonies in order to make a very
small unworthy social statement - Is Wrong.

To Place Our Athletes From Every Country Into This Difficult Choice and Allow
Leaders To Use This Olympiad In This Manner - Is Wrong.

It is Wrong because the cost is too high and we will never have the position to
help our country's leaders to better ways of handling these difficult kinds of
situations like Tibet's desire for independence. Together as we stand with China
as a member nation of the larger world and celebrate with her the showcasing of
a nation that has been cloistered rather than included, we make possible many
solutions that may be negotiated in every moment ahead of us. Shunning and
boycotting and shaming a nation, any nation at a vulnerable moment of
well-deserved national pride certainly creates a hideous path rather than a
smooth clean one.

For we are all, honestly living on one dead rock floating in an infinity of
unknowns throughout our Universe and our time in history. Please make the way
clear to do all that you can to reconsider these choices in light of greater -
much greater things.

Thank you,
Ever Your Friend,
Cricket Diane C Phillips

Please let our national leadership in Poland, France and all other member
nations of this viewpoint as I know you are able. At least, they will know more
than one short-sighted perspective on the matter and have the opportunity to
make better choices. Thanks again.

America -

I know that you are angry and hurting and disappointed and frustrated and as scared in all this as I am. I do know how it feels but stop being so alone in all of this because where once you only had limited resources to handle it – now you have many as we are all in this together.

Long ago and far away from here, the resources were put into place to help each and every one of us when these times came upon us. They are here now – resources and hope and skill sets and knowledge, understanding, wisdom, common sense, innovative applications of good sense and intelligence in real-life, real-time, real-world difficulties.

We can share with one another these resources to become familiar with fly-by-wire, thinking-on-you-feet resourcing and problem-solving. We can do it together . . .

Boycotts of great significance can be made with care in some applications but in light of the dynamics inherent in a much larger picture as we have now – a boycott of the Olympics or trucking service corridors are small stands to IMPACT GREAT HARM that will last for centuries. The purpose of boycott is to create positive change and force that to be considered.

These current boycotts do not do that. They are not made to create positive change nor to force it to be considered.

On The Intelligent Use Of Resources And Actions During A Personal Financial Mess – Cricket Diane C Phillips – 2008

Self-Help: Surviving With No Money -

©2008 Cricket Diane C Phillips, (and Mom), 2008

Okay Now you’ve found yourself in a financial mess, what do you do?
After awhile, when a new job or other financial opportunity hasn’t been
located, there are definite, tangible events that will take place.

First, any of the moneys that have been set aside or were available to
handle things until new income sources are found, will sooner or later get
skimpy.

Second, time will pass. It may be days, weeks, months and maybe longer,
but time will pass.

Third, and this is serious – needs will continue, whatever they are.
The solutions that were generated to satisfy these needs were likely based
on money. That is good until there gets to be less money than it takes to
have those needs met.

So, now that you are at this point, there are some steps you can take:

1. Make a list of personal assets -

Do not skip this step. You will need it as you work through the
other steps. People have all kinds of abilities. Some are used in their
jobs and some are not. It is very important to know what they are at the
earliest possible stage of this process.

This list of personal assets is an ongoing list, as you think of other
items, add them to the list. Start with the obvious; such as, you show up
when you are expected, you care about doing something about the situation in
which you are living, and, that you have held jobs before and done well in
them. Make the list of as many items as you can think of, try to list at
least 25 -50 assets, so that you have a lot of things to work with to get
out of this temporary situation. If you work at it diligently, it will be a
temporary situation, not a permanent one..

Keep this list where you will see it fairly regularly on the bathroom
mirror, taped on the inside of the kitchen cabinet, or in your sock drawer.
It will save your sanity in so many ways that you will be surprised.

If you have two or more individuals of money-making age in your
household, have everyone make their lists, place the list where the
individuals that belong to them can see them.

2. Take stock of available assets -
Look around for stuff that can be sold. It can be collected
physically into one specific space, like the garage or a spare room. You
could put a box in a room or a box in several rooms and add stuff to the box
as you find it and price it, then it will be ready to be sold in a yard or
garage sale. You could make a list as you look around and locate things
that can be sold to get some money to get through this phase of your life.

If you have bought something recently, you will probably be able to
take it back and get your money back. Always save receipts.

If you have things that can be sold, you might want to advertise in the
Thrifty Nickel, on Ebay, Craigslist or other internet sites. If you have
collectibles, you can go to the library and look up the magazines that are
about collectors and collections. There are also magazines for collectors
at book stores, such as Barnes and Noble, Borders, and Books a Million.
There are places to sit where you can sit down and browse through the books
and magazines. There is usually a list of ads in the back of the book for
people who are looking for items for their collections. Hopefully, someone
will be looking for something that you have; and, you will be able to sell
it to them.
There are also books, such as Kovels that give the going price of
antiques and books that show the price of collectibles. The library might
have some books that would be helpful. Some are only located in the reference
section.

Consider assets that could be redeemed, such as life insurance
policies, stocks, jewelry, expensive cars to trade in or sell, boats,
vacation properties, cemetery plots, or extra things that you can live
without.
Cars and boats need to be advertised or put in a popular place with a
sign on them, and sold by owner. That way you save any commissions that
would be charged by a company.
If you sell your vehicle with a for sale sign, you save the money for
the ad in the newspaper. When you sell it, make sure to cancel your
insurance and make sure the ownership transfer is signed and filed.

If you sell a house or condo, make sure that you are never responsible
for the property in the future. This will require additional paper work.
Possibly as simple as writing up an agreement that you have no further
responsibility for the property and get it signed by the lenders and buyers.
Make sure the papers are notarized.
Some grocery stores, banks, and other places notarize free or very inexpensively.
Make sure that you make copies to give to all the parties. Keep the original
and keep it in a fireproof box in a safe place. Always keep originals or if an
original has to be submitted, then have two signed and notarized and keep
one, as well as, a couple of copies.

List stuff considered collectibles, gold, silver, stamps, other
valuables, antiques, old coins, art deco furniture and objects, character
items, dolls. cooky cutters, old pipes, bells, old glass, sheet music,
books, especially first editions and signed books, silverware, old glass,
baseball cards and other collectible cards, toys, art, salt shakers,
ceramics, china and porcelain.

Try to find a collector or a private party, otherwise if you sell
through or to a dealer you lose at least 30-60%. Dealers pay less than
others for coins, antiques and everything else. They have expenses, such
as, rent and utilities. They have to make a profit in order to stay in
business. If you have anyone come to your house to look at your items for
sale, make sure that you have someone at home with you. Make sure that you
aren’t talking to one person while another is taking stuff out behind your
back.

There are consignment shops where some items can be placed. This will
cost a percentage or a fee for renting the space. If you rent a space, you
will probably need a resale number and a business license. These cost
money; and, you have paper work to keep up with. If you can get an antique
shop to take your items for a percentage, then it won’t cost you anything if
the item doesn’t sell. Make sure that you have a paper stating the
agreement between the antique dealer and you. It needs to be signed by you
and the antique dealer, the date and the date that the item is to be picked
up, with what the item is, how much it is to be sold for, and how much you
will owe or what percentage when the item is sold and no fee if the item is
not sold.

For more valuable collectibles and specialty collectibles, there are
conventions and trading shows where you can network for interested parties
or trade / sell at the show. It is expensive to rent a space at a trade
show; but, you might be able to get someone who has a booth to also show
your product for a small fee that would help them offset the huge fee that
they have to pay to be in the trade show.
The best prices may be outside the show, either afterwards by
arrangement, or letting interested buyers know of where it will be on
auction and when. Give out your email address to those who show an interest
in items.
If you don’t have anything to sell, save as much money as you can and
go to yard sales and get inexpensive items that you can sell for more money.
Then take that money and buy more to sell. Keep using the profits to buy
other things and sell them, until you start seeing a way out of your
financial poverty.

3. Find who wants to buy what and where are they?

Figure out how to let them know what you have for the most advantageous
return to you.

Is the best way to auction it online or at an auction house somewhere?

Antiques usually go lower at an auction. So, if you go the auction
route, you might want to set a minimum price, see if there is a charge for
this. Find out if they have a premium price that buyers or sellers have to
pay. Find out all the charges that you have to pay before you auction
something off; so, you won’t be surprised and end up with less money that
you thought that you would get. Get everything in writing if you can.

Most physical auction houses are listed online for your area with their
address, phone number and contact person. Many are listed in the phone book
and other buyers at the auction will sometimes tell you about other places
where auctions are taking place.

Is it better to find individual collectors through want to buy ads,
online, in newspapers, or on auction sites?

It could be possible that collectors have websites filled with
information for their members, where items could also be offered for sale.
Many of these online sites have places to list items for sale or trade among
its members. Often there is no cost to become a member.

4. Discover what other resources are nearby, in the community and
online.

Check bulletin boards at the library, grocery stores, car repair
places, community centers, colleges, SBA (small business administration),
churches and social services offices. Some agencies have community
resources booklets, see if you can locate one and get a copy.

Ask around about what kinds of things might be available to help with
specific needs

If you can find bulletin boards, use them to advertise what you have
to sell. If you need a job put an ad on the internet and bulletin boards,
include what kind of job that you are looking for. The courts have lots of
jobs that are not advertised, such as, typing tapes of court testimony,
delivering documents, filing papers for attorneys. Go to, or call city hall
and ask where jobs bulletins are posted – same for county and state offices.
You can look up jobs on the internet and in newspapers, most have internet
sites.

Hospitals have people typing up charts and putting patient info on the
computer. In the hospital administration offices, there is usually a
bulletin of job postings. Don’t be embarrassed, call somebody until you
find out what you want to know. You have nothing to lose and everything to
gain. You don’t have a job now, so if you don’t get one, you are no worse
off, if you get one, you are on the way.

You could get a paper route for a temporary solution to buy food for
you and your family if you have transportation.

Malls have job bulletins posted in the hall by their main offices and
their development / management companies have jobs, too. There are also
subcontractors that serve the mall’s needs which are often hiring without
placing these jobs in the newspaper.

5. Check government and social services access – find out what and
where it is available -

Ask at churches for information about what is available through them
and if they know about other resources in the community. Ask at union halls
for information and check their bulletin boards, also. Some listings to sell
items or for needs can be listed in union newsletters and on their members’
websites.

Go to the library or on a computer and look up government grants, maybe
there are some that you could pursue. There are books in the reference
section of the library that list all the grants available through
government, public and private sources.

6. What ideas are sitting on the shelf that could be used to create a
business -

* What needs are obvious in the local community that a business could
serve and make a profit.

* There are many books in the library to help create your business. They

7. Learn to make healthy inexpensive meals for your family -

* Things like cans of tuna or salmon can be put with noodles or made into
a casserole and
add a vegie, maybe a can of peas. or a salad. and you have a meal. Potatoes
are usually inexpensive for a bag and can be baked in an oven for about an
hour at 450 degrees or until done, or baked in a microwave for 6-8 minutes,
or until it kind of crumbles when you push on it. Potatoes can be sliced
and fried in a little bit of butter or oil. They can get fried with onions,
broccoli, carrots, squash, zucchini. You can add ham or some meat or eggs to
the stir fry and it puts protein into the mix. You need fruits and vegies, as
well as protein and carbo’s.

* You can’t live on ramens and peanut butter over a long period of time
and stay healthy and have good judgement.
It is absolutely necessary to have protein, fruit and calcium each day for
every member of the family. It is more important than paying the credit card
bill, more important than getting some fast food because you want it and
more important than running across town twice when once can do both things
at the same time.
Oatmeal, the kind that you cook could provide a healthy inexpensive
breakfast, add banana and milk and it also provides calcium and potassium.
Eggs and toast make an inexpensive meal. There are usually discount
bread stores that you can get bread less expensive than at the grocery
store. If you can get a couple of extra loaves of bread and store them in
the freezer or the refrigerator, the bread should last longer.

There are grocery stores such as Save A Lot, that have canned
vegetables and fruits that are very inexpensive and they are good. Most do
not include extra salt or sugar in them.

You can take cans of vegs, and tomato juice, potatoes, carrots, celery,
onions, cans of mixed vegs and make a great veg soup, If you want veg/beef
soup, just add a can or two of roast beef, such as Armour roast beef in the
fat short cans, chop the meat sideways to keep it from being stringy. Cook
until the potatoes are done. It is good reheated the next day and for
however long it lasts. You can serve crackers or cornbread with the soup.
or small cornbread johnny cakes, put about a cup or two of cornmeal mix in
a bowl, add enough milk to moisten it and drop by spoonfuls in hot oil or
butter and fry. Turn when one side is done. These cook quickly

Many stores have double Sunday papers for $2.50 on Sunday afternoons.
A single Sunday paper is $2.00, so it is a better deal to get two if you are
going to use the coupons; because, you get twice the coupons. When you clip
coupons, only use the ones for items you need and use, unless it is free or
almost free.
Rebate forms can be used to get cash back or products.

8. Make a brief list of things you really need right now -

For things that you need there is Free Cycle across the country. In
Cobb county, you join freecycle Cobb. You have to join online and then
donate something, then you can ask for things that you need.

Also available – you can list items for trade or barter on craigslist
or place listing for items you need and what you will trade or that you are
looking to buy it reasonably.

* Find out what assets that you have and what they are worth. It might
not be advisable to redeem them because you lose money and won’t have them
later if you need them. However, what you need to do now, you will do; and,
you are capable of working with your assets in the best way possible.

Between couples whose finances are intertwined – all these matters
need to be considered jointly and openly with one another throughout the
process. What you sell affects others in your family – be open about it and why.

9. As a last resort -

If you can get SSI, there is less government involvement in your life
than having to go through a case worker at social services. Food stamps
might also be available for your situation, usually through family and
children services even if you are a single person.

Sometimes there is an unearned tax refund. Check with IRS. If there
is money available take advantage of it. If you paid taxes and are due a
refund, make sure that you file the proper forms and get that to which you
are entitled.

If you are raising grandchildren you should be able to get kinship care
funds.

If you get ssi, the children may also qualify for it.

SSI applications are made through the Social Security Administration
office. There is an appeals process that is commonly necessary before
receiving it, but not always. Application processes take several months.

There are food banks in your community. Expect to take id and proof of
your income or lack thereof, possibly utility bills and rent receipts.

For necessary medicines, some of the pharmaceutical companies are
helping with that. Check with your doctor, pharmacist, church, social worker
or online by name of manufacturer, name of drug. There is a program for
low-cost, sliding scale and possibly free medications for those in need that
is being run by the pharmaceutical companies.
Practice this sentence, Doctor, do you have any samples .
Wal Mart and some other pharmacies have a list of generic medicines
that they are charging only $4.00. See if there is a medicine that is on
the list that will do the same thing that a more expensive drug would cost
and have your doctor prescribe that medicine.

10. Some important notes about where you are now -

* BUYING ON SALE DOES NOT GIVE YOU THE MONEY YOU SAVED

- Buying on sale does not give you the money you saved unless the item is
critical to your survival and at a price and quantity you can use right now.

* Beans alone are not a sufficient protein source – when you think of
protein for each day – this means, meat, chicken, fish, eggs, beef, pork,
tuna, salmon, etc. They are expensive and without them, you and your family
won’t survive the stresses ahead of you. Beans and rice make a complete
protein when eggs, chicken or beef are added to them.

* When you get down – and it seems hopeless – make a list of 25 things you
are grateful for – start the list with this one – write it down:

1. I am glad we have toilet paper.

If you don’t have that, then you’re really going to have to think of
something to start your list. And, make the list anyway. Then, get on with
it because a new world of discovery awaits you and your family as you make
this journey. It is a process and each part holds new things to learn, to
explore and new possibilities and opportunities. You have the good sense you
need – use it.

PRAY. GOD HOLDS THE UNIVERSE IN HIS HANDS, YOU ARE IMPORTANT TO HIM.
PRAY And – Take the actions you need to take as intelligently as you can.

Every Moment Counts – Cricket Diane C Phillips – 2008

These letters by email and post on site have been sent to our power leaders in the Congress, Democratic Party Leadership and Republican Policy Makers / Party Leadership.

They were sent on 3-30-08 and 3-31-08. The motivation is that people might thrive and that our systems might endure these difficult and tenuous economic crises.

Please consider them in the public domain to relay at will anywhere you might believe they could do some good. Our Senate and House of Representatives cannot continue to deadlock these processes. The two parties policy making leadership are and have been over the course of recent history like two great rams with their horns locked in tests of will. It has and continues to block, undermine and deadlock the creative processes of government, legislating solutions to real life, real time, real world problems and enacting those solutions in any reasonable form that will work.

There is a very basic need for literacy on a massive scale among our most trusted leaders in every sector including our most educated professionals. An application of their knowledge, understanding and educated abilities had been assumed as an available asset. Apparently it is not so in numerous cases as evidenced by recent events and their interpretations by grievously inaccurate applications of knowledge among vast multitudes of educated  experts ,  professionals , and otherwise reasoned and intelligent institutions and individuals.

This literacy must be added to our overall populations, leadership, educated professions and others in similar positions of intellectual opinion leadership and applied knowledge resources. It is critical to organize the complex information and work with it in any intelligent manner both for analysis, understanding and for the approaches of change that must be accomplished quickly.

This is not business as usual -

attaching ANY riders to these economic reforms will waste time and create more
backroom politics & deadlock.

STOP IT   —–       don’t even go there    —–

The United States businesses will all be sellers and there will have been no
buyers for three quarters – if you delay these reforms into application by a
year or more. . .

Don’t kid yourselves that it won’t matter. Look around – the world markets won’t
be buyers either. What part of this doesn’t make sense to you?

Please relay this to your party leadership that is choosing the policies and
practices in this mess.

Thank you,
