You are wrong. Assergi was NOT damaged so please don’t put lies on the internet. My father is from Assergi and I have contacted my family who tells me there is not damage in Assergi!!!!!!!

Do you know if the town of Dogliola was affected by the quake. It is about 120m south east of the center. My wife has family there that we have not been able to reach by phone.
I’ve been trying to find some information for you but the closest I could find was this – it would be worth finding these places online or in the phone book and call them because some of their members may have been able to get phone calls through or may have heard from their relatives in this area.
Otherwise, it might be possible to see if the Catholic services or other volunteer services have set up an interactive portal for families that are trying to find out about their loved ones. They are probably swamped with calls though and my best suggestion is that from the article below – you use some of these sources or other similar sources to ask if they have any information from the area. I’m sorry that I couldn’t find more places to check. I found a list of hotels / farmstays / bed and breakfasts in the area and their phone numbers but that probably isn’t going to help much with phone lines down but I will post it here in case anyone wants to try calling them.

The hotel list below had come from a link on this site – there are some photos and other things that may be people in this area that have posted them but I’m not sure anything besides certain cellphones are going to get through right now. My heart goes out to your country. I live in the US, Michigan and I am/was? under contract for a home in San Pio Del Camere on Flume Street. I have done what I hope other Americans have done and gone to the Italian Red Cross website to donate. THIS WILL NOT STOP me from moving to Italy, in fact I wish I was there now to help in any way I could…..dig, help with wounded, what ever. My heart is sitll there and I consider it my future home, so my prayers and thought’s of warmth are with you all.
